Chief Development and Communications Officer
With over a decade of experience in non-profit programming and fundraising, Melissa Tillman is the Chief Development and Communications Officer at the Downtown Women’s Center. She is responsible for securing funds to support the agency’s annual operating budget through major gifts, special events, annual campaigns, corporation/foundation relations, government grants, planned giving, and donor relations. Additionally, Melissa oversees the agency’s social enterprise, MADE by DWC, robust volunteer program, and public communications efforts.
Melissa holds an MBA in Nonprofit Management from the American Jewish University, where she co-founded the Student Advisory Board and received awards for academic achievement and leadership. Melissa also holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Communications.
