DWC is the only local Veterans Program that works exclusively with homeless female veterans and their children. We provide case management, federal housing vouchers, and supportive services.
SERVING OUR VETERANS
DWC was awarded a contract by the Department of Veteran Affairs for HUD-VASH Case Management and Housing Placement Services targeting chronically homeless and severely mentally ill veteran women from LA County.
The DWC Veterans’ Program was born of an under-recognized need for services for chronically homeless and mentally ill veteran women, through which we provide HUD-VASH housing vouchers, along with Critical Time Intervention case management and a host of other support services for women moving into their new homes.
We recognize that many female veterans have experienced various levels of trauma, and we strive to provide support that meets them where they are. Learn more about trauma-informed care.
