cookingclub2.jpgDo you love to work in the kitchen – or simply want to help meet a critical basic need?

Gather 8-10 friends to prepare a meal for 150 women in your home or ours. DWC requests a $485 donation for the meal, and we will provide the ingredients, a Kitchen Leader, and a menu with step-by-step instructions. Or you can forego the donation and bring the groceries with you – we’ll even provide the shopping list!

snackpacks1.jpgSeeking an off-site team-building experience that has an immediate impact for the women of DWC?

Purchase and prepare 75 snacks that will be used for outings, events, and individuals who visit DWC’s drop-in Day Center. We will provide guidance on what to include.

This opportunity is available on weekdays or weekends at DWC. Snack packs can also be prepared off-site. (If you prepare off-site, we would love to give your group a tour of the Center when you visit for your snack pack drop-off.)

Individual or group opportunity / Opportunity for volunteers under 18

DWC receives a wide array of in-kind donations, including clothing, accessories, personal care products, and household items. Help us sort, organize, and distribute these donations across our programs.

It's a great team-building activity for groups! Or take the next step and sign up to be a Donation Sorting Leader*!

Available on-site at DWC for two- to three-hour shifts, Tuesday through Saturday. Individual or group opportunity (5-8 people)

*Training required.

donationdrive1.jpgDo you want to provide vital resources to women in need? Rally your friends or colleagues in a donation drive to gather clothing, food, or hygiene products to support the women of DWC.

The needs of the women served by DWC are diverse, but clothing and hygiene products for our Day Center participants, canned or dry staples for our kitchen, or household items for our newly housed residents are always in demand. Coordinate a drive with your group to help meet this need!

View our wishlist to get started. Publicity materials are available as needed.

This is an off-site project, but it requires a scheduled drop-off.

Day of Service activities can include cooking a meal, sorting donations, or cleaning and organizing. Occasionally we will also have beautification projects available.

Depending on the scope of the project and the size of the group, a budget may be required. Ample advance notice is also needed to plan the day.
